Reading on Your NOOK

Reading a Book

To read a book on your NOOK, tap on its cover.
Turning Pages
To turn to the next page, tap along the right side of the screen. You can also turn to the next page by swiping to the
left.
To turn to the previous page, tap along the left side of the screen. You can also turn to the previous page by swiping
to the right.
Moving from One Part of a Book to Another
To move quickly through the book, do this:
1.
Tap the center of the page to open the Reading Tools.
Two panels of tools appear at the bottom of the page.
2.
Use the Reading Tools to move through the book.
Drag your finger along the scrollbar to scroll through the book.
A bubble appears above the scrollbar, telling you which chapter and page you have reached.
To go to a specific page, tap Go to Page. A dialog box appears. Type the page number you want, and
press the Go button (an arrow).
3.
When you have reached the page you want, tap the middle of the page to close the Reading Tools and continue
reading.
Using the Table of Contents
To see the Table of Contents of the book, or to jump to a chapter or section listed in the Table of Contents, do this:
1.
Tap the center of the page to open the Reading Tools.
2.
Tap the Contents icon (a stack of horizontal lines).
A panel opens with three tabs: Table of Contents, Highlights and Notes, and Bookmarks.
3.
Tap the Table of Contents tab if it is not already highlighted.
Your NOOK displays the Table of Contents for the book.
4.
Tap on the chapter or section you want to read next.
Your NOOK closes the Reading Tools and displays the page you selected.
