The NAD 7600 is one of the world's most powerful, most sensitive, and most flexible stereo receivers. It
consists of NAD's three finest Monitor Series stereo separates 11300 Preamplifier, 4300 Tuner, and
2600A Power Amplifier), combined on a single chassis and operated by infrared remote control.
The 7600 is rated at 150 watts/channel for continuous test tones, but its Power Envelope circuitry
produces much higher levels of tone-burst power for music. Even with compressed recordings of rock
music in which the peaks are only a few dB higher than the aver-age power, the 7600 maintains a
clipping level above 500 watts per channel into the complex 4-ohm impedance that is typical of real
loudspeakers. In bridged mode a 7600 matched with a 2600A will deliver nearly 3000 watts of dynamic
power into a pair of such speakers. The FET-input MM phono stage, employing eight selected low-noise
transistors per channel, combines superb sound-stage imaging and detail with superior rejection of
digital and radio-frequency interference. A separate class-A pre-preamplifier furnishes exquisitely quiet,
wide-range moving-coil playback. The line-level circuits in the 7600, including its feedback-operated
volume control, have a 118dB signal/noise ratio that preserves all the delicacy and purity of low-level
musical information. Bass EQ and semi-parametric tone controls provide flexible sonic tailoring to
compensate for differences in recordings, speakers, and listening rooms.
The tuner section of the 7600 shares the unique ultra-sensitive front end of the 4300. Together with
NAD's FM NR noise-reduction system, it provides exceptionally clear and quiet reception of weak signals.
Whether you use the convenient rotary knob, the 16 presets, or the remote control for tuning, you are
assured of crystal-controlled digital accuracy.
Combining convenience with superbly musical performance, the NAD 7600 is a no-holds-barred product
that establishes new standards in receiver design.
