Generator
and Controls
Assembly
This assembly
is the basic component
of all generator
sets covered
by the manual.
It
includes
the canopy
and all components
required
to generate
and regulate
400-Hz,
three-phase,
115/200-V
AC
power.,
It is operable
when provided
with fuel and 12-V
DC power.
The engine-generator
assembly
is mounted
on a welded
steel
frame.
A
superstructure,
attached
to the main frame,
provides
mounting
facilities
fcr the canopy,
control
box,
and electrical
equipment
and controk.

Basic Engine
The gasoline
engine
is a V-8,
industrial
type with
361 cubic
inch displacement.
It
is manufactured
by Ford Motor
Company,
Industrial
Engine
and Turbine
Division,
Dearborn,
Michigan,
and is identified
as Model
No.
361GF-6005-D.
