Tightening torques
Component
Coolant pipe to engine
Bracket for charge air cooler to body
Air pipe to engine cross member
Hose clips (9 mm wide)
Hose clips (13 mm wide)

Removing and installing coolant pipe
(right-side)
Removing
– Remove alternator ⇒ Electrical system; Rep. gr. 27
– Remove bolts -1-, -2- and -3-.
– Loosen hose clip -arrow- and pull coolant pipe (right-side) out
of cylinder block.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
Note
Renew O-rings.
Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips
(same as original equipment) ⇒ Electronic parts catalogue .
– Clean and smoothen sealing surface for O-ring as required
before installing.
– Lubricate new O-ring with coolant and slide onto coolant pipe.
– Install alternator ⇒ Electrical system; Rep. gr. 27

– Drain off coolant
