3. Amount of additional refrigerant to be charged
At the time of shipping from the factory, the outdoor unit is charged with the amount of refrigerant shown in the
following table, but since no extension piping is included, please carry out additional charging on-site.
Outdoor unit model name
Refrigerant charge volume
Calculation formula:
Calculate the additional refrigerant volume by calculating the size of the extension liquid piping and its length (unit : m)
Additional refrigerant volume (kg) = (0.2 x L
: Length of φ 15.88 liquid pipe (m)
L
1
: Length of φ 12.7 liquid pipe (m)
L
2
: Length of φ 9.52 liquid pipe (m)
L
3
: Length of φ 6.35 liquid pipe (m)
L
4
α : Refer to the right table.
❉ In the calculation results, round up fractions smaller than 0.01kg. (Example: 14.04kg → 14.1kg)
Example:
PUHY-P650YGM-A
φ 15.88 (30m)
Each pipe is of liquid piping.
φ 15.88 : 30m
φ 12.7
: 10m
φ 9.52
: 10m + 10m + 20m + 10m + 10m = 60m
φ 6.35
: 10m
From the above calculation formula,
Additional charge volume
14.04kg obtained is converted in a unit of 0.1kg.
Therefore,
