Digital Set-up menu

The 'Detail Set-up' menu.

*When 'Hard of Hearing' is selected,
some visual aids may also be displayed
with the subtitles (if information is
transmitted by broadcaster).

**Depending on availabilty of service.
Only available if broadcaster transmits
age limit information for programmes.
***If you have not previously set a PIN, a
display appears to inform you. Press the
OK button to display the 'New PIN'
screen. Refer to 'PIN Code' feature to
set a PIN for the first time.
****PIN code 9999 is always accepted.
Subtitle Setting
This option allows you to place digital subtitles on the screen.
With the 'Subtitle Setting' option highlighted, press the OK button to adjust.
Press the V or v button to select 'Off', 'Basic' or 'Hard of Hearing*'. Press the OK
button to confirm.
Subtitle Language
This option allows you to select which language subtitles are displayed in.
With the 'Subtitle Language' option highlighted, press the OK button to adjust.
Press the V or v button to choose the desired language. Press the OK button to
confirm.
Audio Language
On some digital channels, the broadcaster may transmit several audio
languages for a programme. This option allows you to select your preferred
language.
With the 'Audio Language' option highlighted, press the OK button to adjust.
Press the V or v button to select the audio language you wish to hear. Press the
OK button to confirm.
Audio Type
This option allows you to increase the sound level.
With the 'Audio Type' option highlighted, press the OK button to adjust. Press
the V or v button to select 'Basic' or 'Hard of Hearing'. Press the OK button to
confirm.
Parental Lock
This option allows you to set an age limit for programmes**. Any programme
that exceeds the age limit can only be viewed once a PIN code is entered
correctly.
With the 'Parental Lock' option highlighted, press the OK button. The Parental
Lock display appears***. Enter your existing PIN using Numbered buttons****.
The 'Age' box now becomes active. Press the v or V button to set the age limit
desired, or set to 'None' for unrestricted viewing. Press the OK button to
confirm. Press the B button to return to the 'Digital Settings' menu.
PIN Code****
This option allows you to set a PIN code for the first time or to change a current
PIN code.
With the 'PIN Code' option highlighted, press the OK button to display the PIN
setting screen.
If you have previously set a PIN:
Use the Numbered buttons to enter your existing PIN. Once the correct PIN is
entered the New PIN entry screen is displayed.
If you have not set a PIN:
Use the Numbered buttons to enter the default PIN of 9999. The New PIN
entry screen is displayed.
Enter the new PIN code using the Numbered buttons. As requested, enter the
new PIN again as confirmation. A message appears to inform you that the new
PIN has been accepted. Press B button to return to the Digital Settings menu.
Technical Set-up
This option displays the 'Technical Set-up' menu (Refer to page 28).
With the 'Technical Set-up' option highlighted, press the OK button to display the
'Technical Set-up' menu.
CA Module Set-up
This option is for future use only.
