12. Tighten the drain screw. Install the grom-
met.
13. Place the fuel cock in the closed position.
Tighten the air vent screw.
14. If "Fogging Oil" is not available, remove
the spark plug. Pour a teaspoonful of
clean engine oil into the cylinder. Crank
several times manually. Replace the
spark plug.
15. Remove the outboard motor from the test
tank.
16. Install the silencer cover and top cowling.
17. Drain the cooling water completely out of
the motor. Clean the body thoroughly.
18. Install the propeller. For further informa-
tion, see page 90.

Wash the outboard motor body using
fresh water. NOTICE: Do not spray wa-
ter into the air intake.

When using the built-in fuel tank, com-
pletely drain the fuel from the tank, and
then align the fuel cock with the closed
position and tighten the air vent screw.
For draining of the built-in fuel tank, con-
sult a Yamaha dealer.

When using a portable fuel tank, discon-
nect the fuel hose, install the fuel joint
cap, and then align the fuel cock with the
closed position.

Remove the top cowling and fogging hole
cap.

Install the outboard motor on the test
tank.
