Displays when data synchronization and
application sync is active and synchronization is
in progress for Gmail, Calendar, and Contacts.
Displays when your phone is connecting to the
Device Management server when you first turn
on your phone.
Your device is being used to control streaming
media and is connected to a Digital Living
Network Alliance (DLNA) certified device using
the Samsung Link application.
Displays when TTY device has been inserted.
Displays when a screen capture has
been taken.
Displays when the keyboard is active.
Displays when an emergency call is
taking place.

Primary Shortcuts

Primary Shortcuts display at the bottom of each Home
screen.
The default Primary Shortcuts are: Phone, Messaging,
S Note, Internet, and Apps.
You can change the Phone, Messaging, S Note, and Internet
application shortcuts to any icon that is displayed in the
Apps menu.
For more information, refer to "Adding and Removing
Primary Shortcuts" on page 40.

Other App Shortcuts

There are also other application shortcuts on the second
Home screen, which are: Contacts, Calendar, Email, and
Camera.
For more information, refer to "More Application Information"
on page 43.
Application shortcuts can be added to any Home screen. For
more information, refer to "App Shortcuts" on page 39.
