6. WIRING TECHNIQUES

How to Wire This Unit
Perform the settings and
connections in the order
indicated by the drawing
below.
* Steps 4-6 may differ, de-
pending on the component
connected. For detailed in-
structions, consult the sec-
tion "SYSTEM EXPAN-
SION" on P 17-18.

Connect to center unit.

Set the [STAND-ALONE / SLAVE]
switch to the [STAND-ALONE] position.

Control Unit connection cord
(5m) (furnished with main unit)
Remote-On Cord.
Connect to the power
amplifier's remote-on cord.
Accessory (ACC) power cord.
Connect to a power terminal
that can be turned ON/OFF by
the ignition key.
Main power cord.
Connect to a power terminal that
provides continuous current (3A
minimum) regardless of status of
ignition key.
Ground cord.
Use a screw to fasten to a
metal part of the car frame.
Throughout the process of wiring this unit,
disconnect the negative (–) terminal of your
automobile's battery, and leave it discon-
nected until completely finished. Handling
wires while the terminal is connected could
result in dangerous electrical shock or injury
if an accidental short circuit should occur.
