2. Remove the air filter elements by removing the
screws, and then pull off the sponge materials
from the air filter element holders.

3. Wash the sponge materials gently but thor-
oughly in solvent.

materials. Never use low-flash-point solvents
or gasoline to clean the sponge materials be-
cause the engine could catch fire or explode.

4. Squeeze the excess solvent out of the sponge
materials and let them dry. NOTICE: Do not
twist the sponge materials when squeezing
them.
5. Check the sponge materials and replace them
if damaged.
