Stereo/Bilingual Selection
You can quickly select sound multiplex mode by using the AUTO/STEREO button on the remote control.
NICAM Broadcast Selection
This enables the selection of the reception mode when receiving a NICAM signal. To let you enjoy NICAM broadcasting, this
TV set receives NICAM system stereo, bilingual, and monaural broadcasts.
Stereo
When the TV set is receiving a stereo broadcast, press the AUTO/STEREO button to select Stereo or Force Mono.
Bilingual
When the TV set is receiving a bilingual program, press the AUTO/STEREO button to select Dual 1 or Dual 2.
Note: Be sure to set Nicam to Auto through AUDIO menu.
IGR (German stereo system) Broadcasts
This enables the selection of the reception mode when receiving an IGR signal. To let you enjoy IGR broadcasting, this TV set
receives IGR system stereo and bilingual broadcasts.
Stereo
When the TV set is receiving a stereo broadcast, press the AUTO/STEREO button to select Stereo.
Bilingual
When the TV set is receiving bilingual program, press the AUTO/STEREO button to select Dual 1 or Dual 2.

! Sound Mode — Selects the sound mode. You can select:
. Normal (for normal programs) . Music (for musical programs)
. Movie (for movies)
. User (for user setting sound mode).
Note: You can also press SOUND on the remote control to
select the sound mode.
! Equalizer — Adjusts the equalizer setting.
! Balance — Adjusts the balance between the left and right audio
channels.
! Surround — Turns the Surround sound effect on or off.
! AVC — (Auto volume control) Turns AVC function on to
equalize the overall volume levels for all channels.
Nicam — Only when you set Nicam to

menu, you can enable AUTO/STEREO button on the remote
control to quickly select Nicam mode (see below <NICAM
Broadcast Selection>section). To disable Nicam mode
selection, set Nicam to OFF from the menu.
To close the menu, press EXIT button.
