You may use an optional DVD-ROM Drive Pack (CF-VDD371), SuperDisk Drive Pack
(CF-VFS371) or Battery Pack(CF-VZSU14) with Second Battery Pack Adapter (CF-
VAB371) by removing your CD-ROM drive from the multimedia pocket. For more infor-
mation, please read the manual that accompanies the optional devices.
Installing/Removing a Multimedia Pocket Device

Power off your computer
Do not shut down using the suspend or hibernation mode.

Turn your computer over and confirm that the bottom
indicator does not light

Confirm that the
latches are firmly set.

Turn your computer on
While sliding and holding the latch, slide the device slightly
as illustrated.

Slide the device as illustrated and remove the device.
CAUTION
Do not pull up the device until sliding the device enough.
Align the device with the line and then insert the device.
CAUTION
Be sure that the device is installed properly. Installing the de-
vice upside-down may damage the drive.

Gently slide the device until it clicks into place as illustrated.
<Only when DVD-ROM Drive Pack (CF-VDD371), SuperDisk
Drive Pack (CF-VFS371) or Second Battery Pack Adapter
(CF-VAB371) is set in the Multimedia Pocket>
Adjust the tilt (of the tilt stand) by using a ruler-like implement
until the marks match.
NOTE
When installing CD-ROM drive again;
Return the tilt (of the tilt stand) by using a
ruler-like implement to former position.
NOTE
MP is the abbreviation for Multimedia Pocket.
