    After replacement of DSP P.C.B. or writing of the firmware, make sure to activate the self-diagnostic function and change the “M6 Model ID” setting to the same model name as this unit (RX-V563 or HTR-6150). After replacing the following parts, be sure to write the latest firmware.

While simultaneously pressing the “MAIN ZONE ON/OFF” (RX-V563, HTR-6150) / “STANDBY/ON” (DSP-AX563) and “SPEAKERS A/B/OFF” keys of this unit, connect the power cable of this unit to the AC outlet. (Fig. 2) The FIRMWARE UPDATE mode is activated and “SPDIF Upgrade” is displayed. (Fig. 2) "MAIN ZONE ON/OFF"...

Turn off the power by pressing the “MAIN ZONE ON/OFF” (RX-V563, HTR-6150) / “STANDBY/ON” (DSP-AX563) key of this unit.

There are 19 main menu items, each of which has sub-menu items. Listed in the table below are menu items and sub-menu items.

A/D DATA CHECK This menu is used to display the A/D conversion value of the microprocessor which detects panel keys of the main unit and protection functions in using the sub-menu. When K0/K1 menu is selected, keys become non-operable due to detection of the values of all keys. However, it is possible to advance to the next sub-menu by turning the VOLUME of the main unit.
