3Movethearminwardsoroutwardsuntilthearrowonthetip
ofthearmbecomescenteredonthemediastock.Pushatthe
partwheretheknobissituated,notatthetip.Ifthearmis
hardtomove,lifttheprintheadandpulltheprinthead
bracketfreefromthemagnetinthearm.
4Lockthearminthenew,centeredpositionbytighteningthe
knob.
5Re-adjusttheedgeguides.
6Reloadtheribbon,ifany.
Thepressureofthethermalprintheadagainsttheribbonor
directthermalmediaisfactoryadjusted.However,theuseof
thickerorthinnermediathannormalcouldrequiretheprinthead
pressuretobereadjusted.
Usingastraight-slotscrewdriver,turntheadjustmentscrew
clockwiseformorepressure(+)orcounterclockwiseforless
pressure(-).Printafewlabels,preferablyTestlabels,andcheck
theprintout.Forhelpprintingtestlabels,see"Testprint"on
page53.Increasedpressuregenerallygivesadarkerprintoutand
viceversa.Repeatuntilthedesiredresultisobtained.
Donotuseahigherprintheadpressurethannecessary.
Unnecessarypressuremayincreasethewearoftheprinthead
andshortenitslife.
