Inductive type "pick ups" are used.
The "engine pick up" is mounted in front of the flywheel, so to read the

teeth around
it.
The "com pick up" is mounted in front of the timing gear, so to read the tooth over it.
The signals coming from the "pick ups" are used by the control unit to get the engine
revolutions number and as phase reference.
To test the integrity of the internal circuit of these elements, connect a tester to the
connector pins and reQd the
n
scale on the instrument which should show: 724
n±60.
If the reading does not correspond to this value, replace the element.

Pora verificar 10 integridad del eireuito interior de estos elementos, coneetor un "tester"
a los contactos del conectador y leer en el instrumento de escalo
