TROUBTESHOOTING
lncorrect operations are often mistaken
for
trouble and malfunctions.
lf
you think
that there
is something wrong
with this
component,
check
the
points below. Sometimes
the
trouble
may lie in
another component. lnvestigate
the other
components and electrical appliances
being
used.
lf
the trouble cannot be rectified even after exercising
the
checks listed below,
ask
your nearest
PIONEER authorized
service center or your
dealer
to
carry
out
repair work.
Abnormal functioning
of
this
unit may
be
caused
by
static electr¡c¡ty,
or
other external
interference.
To
restore normal operation, turn the
power
off and then
on again,
or
unplug the
AC
power
cord and then
plug
it
in
again.

Connect properly

the power
and input
settings

the
TV.

the three transportation screws.

correctly
with the

Clean
the
smudges
from the
disc and
then
play
it
again.

Carefully
wipe the
disc
with
the supplied
Elec-
trostatic
charge removal
sheet
(page g).

The internal
mechanism
is
fixed with
transportation
screws.
o
Disc is
inserted
the wrong
way.
o
Smudges,
etc.,
on the disc

The
selected disc
has
an
electrostatic
charge
When
playback
is
started,
it
stops
immediately.
Pauses or
stops during
playback.

Close
all
the
Racks and
the
front panel.
Then
stop
playing
back
a
disc in
the
desired
Rack,
or
start
playing
backadiscinanotherRack(formorethan
10
seconds).
o
Close
allthe
Racks and
the
front
panel, and
wait
for
the
Disc
search
to
completely finish
or
more than
10
seconds after
finishing
playback.

Connect the
AC
power
plug
securely to the wall
outlet.
o
A
disc
in
the desired
Rack
is being
played.
(The
RACK INDICATOR is blinking
)
o
A
disc
is
being searched
or
10
seconds
have
not elapsed since
playback
finished.
o
The
wal
AC
power
plug
is
disconnected
from the
I
outlet.
The Rack
is
not
opened when
EJ
ECT
button (A)
is pressed.
