HOMEPLUG

Detecting HomePlug devices in your network allows you to identify the
HomePlugs in your network and change the password of each HomePlug.
The Web User Interface includes the following menus and submenus:

Local

Remote

Scan
Local
Select Local to detect the HomePlug directly connected to the computer,
and change the private network name. This opens the Local HomePlug
Settings page. This opens Local HomePlug Settings which displays the
MAC address of the local HomePlug. The same MAC Address also appears
printed on the device. By default, the HomePlug private network name is
HomePlug. HomePlugs use the private network name to authenticate each
HomePlug within the network. HomePlug devices with different private
network names cannot communicate with each other.
To reset the local HomePlug private network name:

From the Web User Interface, click HomePlug Menu.

Select Local. This opens the Local HomePlug Settings page.

Click Default. The default Private Network Name is HomePlug.

Click Save.
To change the local HomePlug private network name:

From the Web User Interface, click HomePlug Menu.

Select Local. This opens the Local HomePlug Settings page.

Enter the Private Network Name.

Click Save.
