1.5 Hardware Installation

Plug the Powerline Ethernet Adapter into an AC outlet (Do not plug device
into a power strip or surge protector).
Plug one end of an ETHERNET cable into the Powerline Ethernet Adapter
and plug the other end to a PC or device.
Install the Powerline Network Configuration Utility (Optional).

1.6 Wireless Accessing the Web User Interface

The HomePlug Wireless Adapter can be monitored and managed using a
browser-based Web User Interface running on any operating system.
It is used to apply all basic and advanced configuration settings for your
device. On the browser, enter the IP Address of the HomePlug to access
the Web User Interface. By default, the IP Address is 192.168.1.254. If the
HomePlug is connected to a network/router, you need to use the IP
Address assigned to it by the network/router.

Default Settings

Before you configure this device, you need to know the following default
settings:

Password: admin
IP address: DHCP Enable (if a server DHCP isn't available on the

network, the NewPower 201W will use this IP 192.168.1.254)

Subnet Mawk: 255.255.255.0
