Overview – Rotel Network/FM/DAB+ Tuner
This Rotel product brings together conventional radio for FM and DAB+,
and the ability to access literally thousands of radio stations available on
the internet. This product also allows playback of your stored music files
from a computer or network attached storage (NAS) drive.

DAB, DAB+ and FM Radio

If you have experience with FM and DAB or DAB+ radio you will find
operating these functions on the RT-1570 to be very familiar. Tuning to a
station, saving radio station presets and recalling radio station presets are
explained in detail in this owners manual.

Internet Radio

Streaming Internet Radio (iRadio) services is a popular way to listen to
radio stations from around the world. This feature requires the RT-1570
to be connected to the Internet using a wired or WiFi connection to the
local area network (LAN). Instructions how to connect the RT-1570 to your
network are listed below.

Network Access DAB, DAB+ and FM Radio

Each time the RT-1570 is powered on the unit will attempt to connect to a
wired network using the RJ45 network port on the rear panel. If a wired
network cannot be detected the RT-1570 will begin to scan for available
wireless networks. After the scan, the available wireless networks will be
listed on the display.
To connect to a WiFi network, select the name (SSID) of the wireless network
you want to use and press the PUSH SELECT knob
the ENT key on the remote control. If this is the first time you are connecting
to this network and the network is configured with encryption, you will need
to enter the wireless encryption key similar to attaching a computer or phone
to the network. Using the PUSH SELECT knob
up/down arrow keys and the ENT key on the remote control to enter the
key. When they key is entered, select "END" from the list of characters or
press the Reply

key on the remote control to access. More information
on attaching to a wireless network is available in the Internet Radio and
Setting sections of this owners manual.
NOTE: Use caution when entering the key not confusing the letter "O"
with the number "0". Errors can be corrected using the Back 5 key.
After the RT-1570 has successfully connected to the network, it will begin
communicating with the Internet Radio servers to retrieve radio station
information you can use to listen to stations from around the world.

Managing the thousands of radio stations available via the internet would
be impossible without being able to organize and mange stations that suit
your particular interests. Rotel has provided an easy way to accomplish this
using the www.rotelradio.com website.
To use this feature you will need to register and create a username and
password at www.rotelradio.com. During the registration process you need
to provide the Serial Number and Registration Key from your RT-1570 to
associate your tuner with your user account. The Serial Number can be
located from the iRadio settings menu under "Settings->Version" by turning
the Rotary knob

on the front panel or using the Up and Down arrow
keys on the remote control. The Registration Key can be located from the
iRadio setting menu under "Settings -> Register".
NOTE: To update information in the RT-1570 after making changes
on the www.RotelRadio.com website you will need to power cycle the
RT-1570 then re-select iRadio.

Network Playback

Music files stored on computers or Network Attached Storage (NAS) drives
allows streaming audio playback on the RT-1570. To play music files from a
computer or NAS the RT-1570 and music file must be on the same network
and use a supported Media Server and supported file format. A list of
supported media servers and file formats can be found at the end of this
owners manual.
