his chapter introduces the editing
function offered by this DVD recorder.
Please follow the steps listed below for the
application.

Editing
Use the editing features to create your viewing
preference and to avoid the interruption of TV
commercials.
Important
• The editing functions are not applicable to video
titles saved on recordable and rewritable CDs
(CD-R/-RW).
• For video titles saved on recordable and
rewritable DVDs (DVD-R/-RW and DVD+R/
+RW), available editing functions may vary
depending on the disc format (minus or plus).
• If you do not finalize a disc before playing it on
other compatible devices, results of the editings
you have made on the disc will not be shown.
• Please finish all editings before finalizing the
discs. You CANNOT apply the editing function
to a finalized disc, except in a DVD-RW disc
previously formatted in 'Quick Preparation'
mode.
