RECORDING
DISCS
(Using the remote controller)
Editing recording (CD)
- Rewind tape to the beginning.
- Set the MODE switch to ~
.
Example 1:
Recording 12 tracks of 54 minutes and 00 seconds from a
CD onto a C-46 cassette tape (recording length 23 minutes
per side), in order normally reproduced from the disc.
1. Press the EDIT switch to recall the edit screen.
- The player will go to pause mode.
ON SCREEN:
EDIT, T-01 T-01 0.00 (First play track/Last play track/
Time)
2. Press "2" and then "3" DISC 10KEY (23 minutes).
The display indicates that 5 tracks (1 -5 tracks for 22
minutes) can be recored onto the tape.
EDIT, T-01 T-01 23.00~
EDIT, T-01 T-05 22.00
3. Press the EDIT switch to recall the edit screen (for
reverse side of tape).
EDIT, T-01 T-05 22.00, T-06 T-06 0.00
4. Press "2" and then "3" DISC 10KEY.
The display indicates that 5 tracks (6 -10 tracks for 22
minutes) can be recored onto the tape.

5. Press the
/m switch.
The REC/PAUSE indicator lights and } or 4 indicator
blinks. If the 4 indicator is blinked, press the } DECK 2
switch to blink } indicator.
6. Press the D/ IIU switch on the main unit. CD play and
recording start at the same time. The } indicator lights.
Recording will not start when the PLAY
switch on
the remote controller.
After 5th track has played, the player will go to pause mode
and the deck will be in the erasing mode to the end of tape.
Next, press the
/st switch and then 4 DECK 2 switch.
Press the D/m switch on the main unit to start the reverse
side recording. After 10th track has played, the player will
stop and the deck will be in the erasing mode to the end of
tape.
Example 2:
Recording from the third number (6th number for reverse
side of tape) of
a
CD
disc with a total
performance of 54
minutes, 30 seconds, onto a C-46 cassette tape (recording
length 23 minutes per side) with 12 numbers in total.
1. Press "3" DISC 10KEY. Press the EDIT switch before the
2 seconds elapse to enter the track number to be edited
and recall the edit screen.
ON SCREEN:
TRACK 3-EDIT,
T-03 T-03 0.00
2. Press "2" and then "3" DISC 10KEY (23 minutes).
The display indicates that 6 tracks (3 -8 tracks for 22
minutes) can be recored onto the tape.

T-03 T-08 22.00
3. Press "6" DISC 10KEYand then EDIT switch to enter the
track number to be edited and recall the edit screen (for
reverse side of tape).

4. Press "2" and then "3" DISC 10KEY.
The display indicates that 5 tracks (6 -10 tracks for 22
minutes) can be recored onto the tape.

5. Follow steps after 5 of "Example 1" above.
Synchronous
recording
(LD) (CD)
- Set the player to the continuous play mode.
1, Select LD/CD as the function.
2, Lord the disc.
3. Press the
/m switch.
4. Press the PLAY}
switch. The disc tray closes automati-
cally and recording starts.
5. Press the
DECK2 and A/¤
switches to stop record-
ing.
Programmed
recording
(LD) (CD)
1. Set the player to the continuous play mode and make a
programme
as described in "PROGRAMMED
PIAY'
section.
2, Press the ./ii
switch.
3, Press the D/no switch on the main unit twice.
- When the last programmed selection has been recorder'
both player and deck stop.
-
If a microphone is connected to the MIC socket during
recording discs, a microphone mixed (karaoke play)
recording can be made.
RECORDING
RADIO PROGRAMMED
1. Tune in the station.
2, Press the REC/PAUSE switch. The REC/PAUSE indica-
tor lights and } or 4 indicator blinks.
3. As soon as the programme to be recorded starts, press
the PIAY
or < PIAY switch whose indicator is blink-
ing.
This procedure starts the recording.
- To record in the opposite direction to that indicated
by the blinking indicator, press oncetheswitchwhos
indicator is not blinking, check that the other indicat-
is now blinking, and press the same switch again.
4. Press the RECIPAUSE
switch to temporarily stop re-
cording.
5. Press the STOP switch to stop recording.
Automatic record muting
If the REC MUTE switch is pressed lightly once during the
recording of a radio programme, disc, tape in deck 1 or the
sound from any other component, undesirable parts of the
recording can be omitted, and an unrecorded blank lasting
about 4 seconds can be created. The recording standby
mode will then be established. To resume recording, press
the PIAY } or < PL4Yswitch whose indicator is blinking or
press the REC/PAUSE switch again.
Note:
- The automatic record muting function does not work
during tape high speed dubbing.
- To create an unrecorded blank of the desired length,
hold down the REC MUTE switch for the required time.
The recording standby mode will be established when
the switch is released.
