VARIOUS PLAY MODES
To reproduce only one channel of stereo disc/To select
an audio signal from multi-audio disc
Pressing the MONITOR switch alternates between chan-
nels or voice.
During play:
Sound heard
Multiple audio disc: Audio I/Left, Audio 2/Right
Stereo disc: Stereo
ON SCREEN: STEREO
("STEREO" appears at the second display cycle.)
Press the switch.
Sound heard
Multiple audio disc: Audio I/Left
Stereo disc: Left
l/L
Press the switch again.
Sound heard
Multiple audio disc: Audio 2/Right
Stereo disc: Right
2/R
Press the switch again.
Return to the first display.
To reproduce analog sound from a disc having digital
sound
Pressing DIGITAL PIAYswitch (DIGITAIJANALOG: remote
controller) alternates analog and digital sounds.
During play:
Sound heard: Digital
DIGITAL
("DIGITAL" appears at the second display cycle.)
Press the switch.
Sound heard: Analog
ANALOG
Press the switch again.
Return to the first display.
To watch pictures frame by frame (CAV) (Using the
remote controller)
To watch stop picture, press the STILL/F ADV switch.
STILL
Wress the switch repeatedly to advance the pictures frame
by frame.
To return to normal play, press the PIAY } switch.
Scanning to the desired location
Scan forward play: press and hold the m switch.
SCAN FWD
Scan reverse play: press and hold the ~ switch.
SCAN REV
To return to normal play, release the switch.
CHAPTER/TRACK SEARCH (Using the remote control-
ler)
Chapter/Track skip search
Example:
To
search
chapter 1 while in chapter 2, or to search track 1
while listening to track 2.
Press the w switch twice.
ON SCREEN:
SEARCH, SIDE 1 CHAPTER 1 (LD)
SEARCH, TRACK 1 (CD)
To search chapter 3 while in chapter 2, or to search track 3
while listening to track 2,
Press the DN switch once.
SEARCH, SIDE 1 CHAPTER 3 (LD)
SEARCH, TRACK 3 (CD)
If using the K or EOI switch during play of CDV disc:
~ : shifts to video part, if in audio part
K : shifts to audio part, if in video part
The SKIP switches on the main unit can be used for this
function.
Chapter search (LD)
Example:
Searching for chapter 5 while viewing.
Press "5" DISC lOKEY.
SEARCH, SIDE 1 CHAPTER 5
Track search (CD) (CDV)
Example:
Searching for track 12 while listening to present track.
Press"+ 10" and then "2" DISC 10KEY.

Frame search (CAV)
Example:
Searching for scene 23456 while viewing another scene.
1. Press the FRAME~lME switch to recall input display.
SIDE 1 FRAME O
2. Press "2", "3", "4", "5" and then "6" DISC 10KEY to
enter the frame number.
SIDE 1 FRAME 23456
3. Press the PIAY F switch to play the searched frame.

Time search (CLV)
Example:
Searching for the scene located at 23 minutes and 45
seconds while in play.

Operation with LD withTOC ( ~ or g~~~~ ), CD and
CDV disc:
If the number entered is not recorded on the disc, "O" will
blink. Re-enter the correct number.
