Section 7: Music

Music Player

Music player plays music and other audio files that you copy from
your computer.
You can listen to music from your device's built-in speakers,
through a wired headset or via Bluetooth stereo headset or
spekers. For more information, refer to "Pairing with a Bluetooth
Device" on page 56.
From a Home screen, touch

Music player searches your device's internal storage for

music and playlists, then displays your music. Browse
music by touching songs, albums, and playlists. Touch a
song or playlist to begin playback. Use the tabs on the left
side of the screen to change the view of your music library.
During playback, use the sound and playback controls:

• Favorite: Touch the star

• Volume: Touch to activate on-screen volume control, then touch
and drag on the scale to set volume. You can also press the Volume
Key on the side of the device to adjust playback volume.
• 5.1 Channel Mode: Touch to enable stereo sound.
• Progress Bar: Touch and drag the end of the progress bar to scan
forward or backward through the current song.
• Shuffle: When enabled, songs play in random order. When
disabled, songs play in the order they appear in List view.
• Playback controls:
– Touch to advance to the next song. Touch and hold
forward through the current song.
– Touch to go back to the previous song. Touch and hold
scan backward through the current song.
– Touch to pause playback. Touch
– Touch to repeat the current song, repeat all songs, or disable
repeat mode.
– Touch to set the shuffle mode to random order, or in the order they
appear in List view.
Tip: If you switch to another application while playing music, touch
the System bar to display playback controls.
