4 System frequency displays
60: 59.94 Hz
50: 50 Hz
5 1394TC display
This appears when ON has been selected as
the 1394 IN PRESET item setting on the setting
menu RECORDING SETUP screen.
6 Squeeze recording display
This appears when images which were
squeeze-recorded in the 480i/576i format are
input to the 1394 connector or played back.
7 Date and time display
The mmm/dd/yyyy, hh:mm:ss format (month/
day/year/hours/minutes/seconds) is used to
display the date and time.
• The date and time set by the camera recorder
are displayed when the unit is connected to
the AG-HVX200 or other camera recorder
using a 1394 cable.
8 Playback frame rate display
24P, 24PA, 60P, 30P, 50P, 25P
• The "Variable rate: recording rate" display
appears when native recording clips shot by a
camera recorder, such as the AG-HVX200 are
played back.
Example: 12:24P
12P (for the variable rate recording
of clips that are not native
recording clips)
• The frame rate is not displayed during the
playback of 60i or 50i content.
9 Audio level meter display
The meter indicates the levels of the signals
which are output to the CH1 and CH2 audio
output (AUDIO OUT) connectors (pin jacks).
10 USB HOST display
This display appears while the USB HOST
mode is established.
11 Text memo, shot mark displays
These displays appear for about 3 seconds when
[USER], to which a shot mark or a text memo
has been assigned ahead of time, is pressed and
the shot mark or text memo is recorded.
MARK ON :
When a shot mark has been added
MARK OFF :
When a shot mark has been deleted
TEXT MEMO :
When a text memo has been added
INVALID :
When shot marks or text memos cannot be
added or deleted
12 Information display
The following information is displayed
depending on the circumstances.
• Warning displays, error displays
• Displays for mode switching using [USER]
(V OUT OSD, AUDIO OUT, SLOT SEL, SYS
FORMAT, SD MODE)
• The function assigned to [USER] is displayed
while [MENU/MODE CHK] is pressed.
13 Operation status displays

14 Repeat playback setting display
This appears when "ON" has been selected for
the "REPEAT PLAY" item setting on the setting
menu "PLAYBACK FUNCTIONS" screen.
15 Remaining battery charge display
As the remaining charge drops, the display
changes in the following sequence:
When the charge is low, "LOW BATTERY"
appears on the LCD monitor.
(While the AC adapter is being used, a display
other than
may appear: this is normal
and is not a sign of trouble.)
