1394TC preset mode

The TC initial value can be synchronized when
images are shot using multiple cameras.
Preset operations cannot be performed during
recording or playback. Perform them in the stop
status.

Connect the two units using a 1394 cable,
and turn on their power.

Set the camera recorder to the status in
which the video signals are output from the
1394 connector.
• Select the same recording format for the
camera recorder and the unit.
All the following operations are performed using
the controls on the unit.

Select "OFF" as the "1394 TC REGEN" item
setting on the setting menu "RECORDING
SETUP" screen, and set the counter to the
TCG display.
• You cannot do this if you have selected
REGEN.

Select "ON" as the "1394 IN PRESET"
item setting on the "RECORDING SETUP"
screen.
• "1394TC" appears on the screen. (Page 71)

Press [RESET/TC SET]. The TCG value is
preset to the TC value which was input from
the 1394 connector.
• "TC SET OK" is displayed for about 2
seconds in the center of the screen.

Setting the time code

In the setup menus, "RECORDING SETUP"
screen, set the following time code related items.

• 1394 TC REGEN
• TC MODE
• TCG
• TC PRESET
When "ON" is set for the "1394 TC REGEN" item,
the settings of the items shown above cannot be
changed.

Specifying the time code (TC PRESET)

Set "TC PRESET" so you can record a value of
your choice as the initial setting for the time code
to be used at the start of recording.

Hold down [POWER] for at least 2 seconds
to turn the power on.

Select "OFF" as the "1394 TC REGEN" item
setting on the setting menu "RECORDING
SETUP" screen.

Select "YES" at the "TC PRESET" item
on the "RECORDING SETUP" screen, and
press .

time code, the time code value will be reset to
zero.
