There are two 32‐bit Flash password registers, which store the 64‐bit password
used to password‐lock sectors of the Spansion S29GL series Flash under software
control. The GEIP‐wide password is chosen to be the ASCII encoding of
'DataSafe'. This password is only seen when software allows it and when the
jumper link (Flash_PW_LOCK) settings allow it. Otherwise, these registers
contain the ASCII code: 'locklock'.
