Possible cause and remedy
The sensors for detecting the waste container are soiled.
^ Remove the waste container and clean the compartment in
which it sits. Ensure the top right and left-hand sides of the
compartment are clean.
^ Push the waste container into the appliance until it
connects. Close the appliance door.
The capsule was not pushed onto the capsule plate.
^ Open the appliance door and remove the capsule
carousel and the carousel runner.
^ Clean the area under the capsule runner. It is particularly
important to clean the sensor which is used to recognise
the capsule chambers as well as the recess in the floor.
After cleaning, dry all parts with a soft cloth.
^ Put all parts back in the machine and close the door.
The capsule was not pushed onto the capsule plate
correctly and is possibly damaged.
^ Open the appliance door and remove the capsule
carousel and the carousel runner.
^ On the right-hand side of the slot for the capsule plate
there is an opening. Check whether a capsule is sitting on
the capsule plate.
