: Make sure the IR-transmitter is close to the
IR-receiver window of your set-top box but does not
cover it completely (see previous image).
Step 4: Connect Power and turn on
•
Insert the included power supply adapter into the body of
the power supply unit.
•
Connect your Broadway 2T box to a wall socket using the
provided power supply unit.

aution
: You may use Broadway 2T only with
the provided power supply unit.
• Broadway 2T starts automatically and the white light on
the front will blink.
• Wait until the light stops blinking.
• Broadway 2T is ready for use now.

: If the light continues to blink, it means that you
have not connected Broadway 2T to your home router
with a wired Ethernet cable.

Thank you for purchasing Broadway 2T by PCTV Systems.
Please follow these instructions to quickly start watching TV
on any client device in your network.
What is Broadway 2T?
Broadway 2T brings live TV to your iPad or iPhone or other
device (see
www.pctvsystems.com
for an up to date list of
devices supported).
Broadway 2T needs two things in order to operate:
1. A TV source.
The source for live TV can come from your cable TV or
satellite set top box or an over-the-air TV antenna
(DVB-T / Freeview transmission).
2. A connection to a network router in your home.
The connection can be wireless (Wi-Fi) or
wired (Ethernet).
When you are at home, you can watch live TV from
Broadway 2T over a Wi-Fi connection. When you travel,
Broadway 2T Setup in your
Home Network (Wi-Fi/LAN)
The setup of Broadway 2T is done from your client device.
As part of the initial setup, you will need to go through the
setup procedure from our website.
Step 1: Access Broadway 2T and follow
the Setup Wizard
For this step an Internet connection is required.

: Make sure your router is connected to the
Internet.
• Make sure your client device is connected to your home
network over Wi-Fi or wired.
• Open an Internet browser window. Use Safari on your
Apple product, or any web browser on your PC.
• In the address field type:
http://distan.tv
• You will see the Broadway login screen.
• Enter the default Administrator Password: admin

you need to have an Internet connection (Wi-Fi or 3G/4G) in
order to receive live TV from Broadway 2T.

Broadway 2T Hardware Setup
Step 1: Unpack
Check that your package includes the following:
•
Broadway 2T Dual DVB-T receiver box
•
Power supply unit with plug adapter
•
Ethernet cable
•
IR-Blaster cable
•
6 (4 + 2 spare) rubber feet
•
Wall mounting kit (2 screws / 2 wall plugs)
•
Drilling template
•
Mini indoor antenna
•

Step 2: Connect to the Router

ote
: For the initial setup, the connection must be
wired.
• Use the provided Ethernet cable to connect Broadway 2T
to the router of your home network.
Important: Make sure the router is connect to the Internet.
• The Broadway Setup Wizard opens.
• Follow the Broadway Setup Wizard.
It will guide you through the setup procedure helping you
to configure the device connection to the router and run
the first channel scan.
• Select the way you want to operate Broadway 2T, wired or
wireless.

ote
: for the initial setup, your Broadway 2T must be
connected to your router with an Ethernet cable.
• Click Next and select your TV source out of the following
choices:
• AV-in with connected set top box and IR-Blaster
support: this is used, when connecting Broadway 2T
to a cable TV/satellite set top box.
• AV-in with connected camcorder: this can be used if
you have a security camera and want to watch the
video via Broadway 2T.
• TV tuner with connected TV antenna or cable: if you
are using an indoor or outdoor DVB-T antenna.

ote
: You can use the TV tuner and the AV-input at the
same time.
Scanning for TV Channels
(if you have connected a DVB-T Antenna or cable)
If you have chosen TV tuner with connected TV antenna
or cable as your TV source, you will now be taken through
the channel scan procedure.

Step 3: Connect a TV Source
You can connect the following types of TV to Broadway 2T:
• Cable TV or satellite set top box
Use S-Video or composite video and stereo audio
cables or a SCART adapter if required.
• DVB-T outdoor antenna (recommended) or the included
mini indoor antenna.
• Security camera
Use the S-Video or composite video and audio cables
(cameras with USB plug only are not supported).
Connect the IR-Blaster cable (optional)
• Connect the IR-Blaster cable as shown in the image
below:
• Make sure the Location is set to your country correctly.
• Click Start Scan
• When the scan is complete, Broadway 2T will inform you
how many channels were found and show you a list of
channels.

ote
: If Broadway 2T did not find any channels, please
check your antenna and make sure it is plugged in
well to the connector on the back of Broadway 2T.
Use an outdoor antenna if you are in a region with weak
DVB-T signal.
• After the channel scan is complete, click Quit to exit the
Setup Wizard and start watching live TV.

: If you have chosen: AV-in with connected set top
box and IR-Blaster support the IR-Learning Wizard
will guide you through the IR-Blaster configuration
(for further details turn the page).
