GENERAL AND ELECTRICAL SAFETY
When using electric appliances always observe safety regulations where applicable to reduce the risk
of fire, electric shock and personal injury.
Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate.
Supply Cord and Plug
Always unplug from mains supply when not in use. Do not abuse or damage the power cord. Check
the cord regularly. Do not use the appliance if the cord or the plug has been damaged. If the supply
cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified
person in order to avoid a hazard.
Use and Location
This heater is designed for indoor domestic use only. Do not use outdoors. Do not use directly below a
socket outlet. This heater must be operated the right way up. Ensure the heater is located away from
doorways and on a level floor where it can not be knocked over. Do not leave unattended when in
use. Warning: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
Fire Risk
WARNING: Fire risk exists if the heater is covered by or positioned close to curtains or other
combustible materials. Do not use this heater with a programmer, timer, separate remote-control
system or any other device that switches the heater on automatically, since a fire risk exists if the
heater is covered or positioned incorrectly.
Earth Safety
This appliance must be earthed. Only connect to a suitably earthed 220-240V ~ 50Hz supply socket.
Water
This heater must not be used in the immediate surroundings of any bath, shower or swimming pool or
used in any other damp area where contact with water may create an electrical hazard. Do not
immerse any part of the appliance or supply cord in water. Do not use with wet hands.
Supervision
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Safety Device
This appliance has two protection devices; an internal tilt switch which disconnects the appliance when
tilted or tipped over and a non resettable thermal fuse that disconnects the appliance in case of
overheating.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Assemble the main body and the base plate together as follows.
1.
Remove the butterfly nuts from the lower part of the body.
2.
Insert the power cord through the hole in the middle of the base plate and then position the
base plate onto the main body.
3.
Secure the base plate to the main body by means of the two butterfly nuts previously removed.
4.
Insert the power cord through the outlet slot and then clip it in to the cable clamp.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Choose a suitable location for the heater, taking into account the safety instructions above and
connect the supply plug to a suitably earthed 220-240V ~ 50Hz supply socket.
2.
Press the power button to ON to turn the unit on.
3.
The heater is fitted with three additional power switches that turn the other halogen heat lamps
on or off. With just the power button on, only one lamp will be on and the heating power will be
400 watts. With two lamps on the total heating power will be 800 watts, with three on, the total
heating power will be 1200 watts and with all four on, the total heating power will be 1600 watts.
4.
If required select the oscillating function by pressing the turn switch on.
5.
Remember to switch the heater "OFF" at the end of use and disconnect from the mains supply.
First Time Use
For first time use or when the heater is turned on after having not been used for a long period of time
there may be a small amount of smoke or smell which is normal. This will disappear when the heater
has been on for a short while.
