    INDUCTION HOTPLATES The vitro-ceramic covered induction hotplate is a revolutionary piece of cooking equipment. An induction hotplate consists of an induction unit placed underneath a vitro-ceramic panel. The hotplate is powered by means of a high-frequency AC current. Energy is transmitted electromagnetically. This magnetic field passes through the cooking surface into the bottom of your pans.
  • Page 22 INDUCTION HOTPLATES Induction hotplates are fitted with : - a rotating encoder control that gives 9 power selections - an electronic display of the power being used. - 2 warming positions (at approximately 42°C and 70°C in the recipient). - 1 fast heating position which gives level-9 power for 2 minutes and then automatically switches to the preset power level.

    CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Before any cleaning work, close the gas supply and/or isolate from the mains supply Do not use a steam cleaner to clean the appliance. Ceramic cooktop : Hotplates must ALWAYS be kept dry. Wipe your utensils before placing them on the hotplates. Limescale can be removed by using white wine vinegar.
