Illusonic Audio Processors integrate these functionalities - because they be- long together from a quality, technical, and usage perspective.     Illusonic IAP 8 Chapter 1 Introduction IAP 8 Overview Inputs IAP 8 can connect to a variety of sources. There is usually no need for a device between the source and IAP 8. In addition to conventional analog and digital inputs, IAP 8 features a phono stage, USB audio, network media rendering, and four HDMI inputs with multi-channel support.

    Illusonic IAP 8 Chapter 1 Introduction 4+4H 5+2H Volume Control In order to be able to connect directly to power amplifiers or active loud- speakers, IAP 8 features volume control, implemented digitally. Volume con- trol is applied just before the DACs using 32 bit floating point arithmetic, followed by a dithering process.

For stereo audio, IAP 8 can generate sur- round channels, which are used to render room information in the recording more naturally.

    Illusonic IAP 8 Chapter 1 Introduction Crossovers IAP 8 implements up to 4-way active crossovers. Gain, delay, polarity, and equalizers can be applied to each channel to implement and optimize cross- over filters. Bass Management IAP 8’s versatile bass management enables optimal use of different loud- speaker sizes and/or subwoofers.
  • Page 16 Softwares The latest versions of IAP Controller and IAP Calibration softwares can be downloaded from the Illusonic web site. Both, Windows and OS X versions are available. IAP Controller presents all IAP 8 parameters for comfortable setup. IAP Calibration makes multi-point room measurement easy and helps setting up calibration related parameters (channel gain/delay/polarity, equal- izers, crossovers, bass management).
