Installation Instructions

This Quick Start Guide describes how to install and configure your new QLogic InfiniPath QHT7140 host channel adapter
(HCA) in three simple steps:

Step 1. Verify the package contents.

Step 2. Install the HCA hardware.

Step 3. Install the InfiniPath software.
Keep the HCA in the antistatic bag until installation. The HCA contains parts that can be damaged by
electrostatic discharge (ESD). Before handling the HCA, use standard methods to discharge static
electricity. Place the HCA on the bag when examining it. Retain the bag for future use.
CAUTION!
NOTE: The QLogic InfiniPath QHT7140 was formerly known as the PathScale HT-465.
