    Preface Preface Dear Trigon Customer, We are delighted that you have chosen the Chronolog. This device was manufactured under the strictest manufacturing controls and is an exemplary example of the latest in precision technology. Even if you are very experi- enced in working with Hi-Fi devices, we still recommend that you study this Operating Manual closely and follow the instructions contained in it.

    1. General Device Description 1. General Device Description The Chronolog is an audio player that has been designed for playing the highest quality digital media. The Chronolog will enable you to get the max- imum possible audio enjoyment from your musical treasures. The Chronolog copies the music from the CD onto an internal Solid State Drive (SSD) and then plays it from there.

    1. General Device Description 1.2 Installation advice After unpacking the device, please check your Chronolog for any signs of transport damage. In the unlikely event that you identify some damage, please contact your dealer immediately. Then check the contents of the packaging to ensure that everything is there.

    The three year warranty on your Chronolog starts from the date that the device is handed over to you by the dealer. For this reason, you must hold onto the warranty card and the receipt that identifies the date of the purchase.

    After unpacking your Chronolog, you should first allow it time to warm up to the ambient temperature. Particularly during the colder seasons of the year, dampness can build up inside the device if the Chronolog is moved from a cold environment to a warm one.

    Figure 4.6: Assigning a server name 4.3 Add files in UPNP database To add a folder to the UPNP database, go in the music folder on the Chronolog to the desired folder, as this is blue highlighted. Then you open with the C button the context menu and select "Scan item to library".

There, select the entry Template for music track file names and edit it so that it meets your requirements.

    Chronolog. 5.1 WLAN connection with the iPad In order to be able to operate the Chronolog with the iPad, a network connection has to be established between the iPad and the Chronolog.

    Chronolog’S WLAN. (The Chronolog must be switched on and be displaying its Main menu. Addition- ally, both antennae must be connected.) As soon as the Chronolog’S serial number is displayed, tap on the entry. This starts the process for establishing a connection and you will be asked to enter the connection password.

    5.1.3 Automatic connection In order that the iPad always automati- cally re-establishes the connection to the Chronolog, you have to activate the "Autom. connection" option. This com- pletes the settings and you can return to the iPad Home screen by tapping on the iPad button (Home button).

    5. Trigon-Touch Remote Control 5.6 Control view The Control view is used for the screen- controlled control of the Chronolog, similarly to the Director. The individual functions are explained in the Control Help. This can be accessed by tapping on the Help icon [?].

    5. Trigon-Touch Remote Control 5.10 Coverflow By tapping on "Coverflow" in each of the source views, you switch to an album overview that only displays the album covers.
