1. Push the lock of the twisted pair cable's connector slightly and insert the
cable into the connector of the LAN Card until it locks.
2. Push the connector lock at the other end of the twisted pair cable slightly
and insert the cable into the connector of the hub until it locks.
When connecting the LAN cable to the network interface connector, pay
attention to the following. If you handle the cable improperly, it may
cause the network interface connector to break.
Use the TIA/EIA-568 compliant cables of UTP (unshielded twisted
pair) Category 3, Category 4, Category 5, or Enhanced Category 5.
For the network interface connector of the LAN cable, use an RJ-
45/ISO8877 compliant connector.
Lay the LAN cable so that it may not give stress to the network
interface connector.
When removing the LAN cable, push the hooks of the cable
connector slightly and pull the cable straight out.
If you connect the LAN cable between the Card or directly to a LAN
device installed on another system without connecting to network
equipment (such as HUB), an attempt to disconnect the LAN cable after
linkup may cause the SPEED LED/LINK LED on the Card to light up or
blink. In such a case, unplug the LAN cable and then plug again
(connected state → unconnected state), the LED will go out.
