You must locate the computer’s keyboard and mouse near the console. This is because the stylus won’t function when you initially connect the Sympodium IM-150 console. You must install and open SMART Board software, so you’ll need a connected keyboard and mouse to operate the screen until the stylus is operational.
Installing the Sympodium IM-150 Console You can install the Sympodium IM-150 console in any material. However, it has an estimated bearing surface of 18 sq. in. (116.1 cm ) and an estimated weight of 15 lb. (6.8 kg), so ensure your mounting surface can support a console of that weight and size.
Page 21
NOTE: Select the screws that work best for your mounting surface, but with a maximum size of No. 8 (M4). Lower the console into the opening. It will rest on the brackets. Align the bracket screw holes with those in the console. NOTE: The next two illustrations show the cables connected so you can see the positioning of the console.
• rack-mount it NOTE: Your Sympodium IM-150 module doesn’t come with the fasteners to attach the mounting brackets to a surface (or a rack-mount cabinet); you’ll have to supply the appropriate ones. However, the IM-150 does come with four No. 8-32 x 1/4" screws for attaching the mounting brackets to the X-Port 30 unit.

Use the following table to solve a problem with the console. Keep in mind that any computer you use with the IM-150 must have SMART Board software running for the screen to be touch sensitive. Also, an auxiliary input source must be running touch-capability software if you want to annotate over the image on the interactive screen.
