- Page 2 Operation: 1. Charge the device completely before first use and always s afely remove hardware . 2. Flip the key open and slide the power switch into the on position. 3. Recording video: a. Manual activation i. To power camera into the standby mode, quickly press the lock button. (The blue indicator light will remain on continuously) ii. Press and hold the lock button for a few seconds to begin recording (Blue indicator light will flash and turn off, however the unit continues recording). iii. To stop recording, quickly press the lock button. (The indicator will once again illuminate blue continuously.) b. Voice activation i. Slide the voice activation switch to the on position and the camera will trigger recording by sound. 4. Taking Photographs a. With the power switch in the on position click the lock button, but do not hold down. (The indicator light will flash yellow and then return to solid blue illumination indicating standby mode). 5. Once finished slide the power switch to the off position. Playback Options: 1.
- Page 3 Data Retrieval: 1. To download the files, simply connect the device to a computer via USB connection (Power switch must be in the on position). 2. The device will appear as a removable disk and from there click Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer. 3. Then click on the folder DCIM, and then click 100DSCIM. 4. To play the video with your default media player just double click. (If you would prefer select another player just right click on the video and select the desired player. Setting Time Date Stamp: 1. Open notepad and create a new file in the following format: 2009‐01‐02 23:59:09 indicating current Year‐Month‐Day Hours:Minutes:Seconds 2. Save this file to the desktop as: time (save as a .txt file) 3.
