Weight Rating (GVWRI shown on the certification lag posted
on thH driver's door jamb. These ratinDs are for a fully·
loaded vehicle

Run only the frunt wheels Ollto the scale platform

obtain a reading. (This first value is the front
axle Gross Ax!e Weight.1
2.
Next, place the entira vehicle (both axlesl On the

and obtain a readinQ. (This second value is
Gross Vehicle Weight.)
3.
Drive forward until only the mar axle is on thu
platform and obtain a reading. (This third readi"'1
is rear axle Gross Axle Weight.)
4.
Compare

2 with the GVWR of your
vehid~.
If \his reading exceeds the GVWR rating, it will be
necessary to reduce tnt"1 vehicle lo"d.

If reading 2 is less than the GVWR of your vehicle,
cher-k readings 1 and 3 to verify ,hat each is less
than the GAWR on the ccrtifiGation tug.
