OWNER'S MANUAL —
Please read before using this equipment.

AC Adapter
Your booklight is
shipped with four Ni-Cd
button cell batteries inside.
CHARGING THE BOOKLIGHT
1. Retract the light into the booklight so that it is turned off.
2. Fit the booklight onto the charger as shown above.
3. Insert the adapter's barrel plug into the charger's
4. Plug the adapter's other end into a standard AC outlet.
Notes:
• It takes about five hours to fully charge the booklight.
• Use your booklight for up to three hours after fully charging it.
USING THE BOOKLIGHT
1. Firmly grasp the light and pull up to extract and turn it on.
2. Clip it onto a book and adjust the light to the best angle for reading.
3. When finished reading, retract the light to its original position to turn it off.
Cautions:
• The light output is strong enough to injure your eyes. Do not look directly
at the light for more than a few seconds.
• You must use a Class 2 power source that supplies 6V DC and delivers
at least 200mA. Its center tip must be set to positive and its plug must fit
the cradle's jack. The supplied adapter meets these specifications.
DC 6V
Using an adapter that does not meet these specifications could damage
the cradle or the adapter.
