CWDM-1-8/-9-16/1-8-L/9-16-L/1-8-M/9-16-M Rev. 2 3 Connections 3.1 Mounting the CWDM filter The CWDM filter must be mounted in a Flashlink subrack. This is done from the rear of the subrack. Do not use force when inserting the CWDM filter, once the module’s upper rail aligns with the card rail in the subrack, it should slide easily into place.
CWDM-1-8/-9-16/1-8-L/9-16-L/1-8-M/9-16-M Rev. 2 3.3 9-16 channel system Using the upgrade port of the CWDM-9-16 enables to have up to 16 wavelengths on a single fibre. Each set of 8 channels must first be connected like described in chapter 3.2, figure 3. Figure 5: 16-channel CWDM filters connected to main fibre network-electronics.com | 7...
CWDM-1-8/-9-16/1-8-L/9-16-L/1-8-M/9-16-M Rev. 2 4 Laser safety precautions These are guidelines to limit hazards from laser exposure. All the available EO units in the Flashlink range include a laser. Therefore this note on laser safety should be read thoroughly even though there is no laser onboard this product.
