First of all, many thanks for purchasing this Sweex MP3 player. With this compact MP3 player you can enjoy your favourite music in MP3 or WMA format.
To ensure this product operates correctly, we advise you to carefully read this manual first. If despite this manual you still experience problems during
installation or operation of this product, go to www.sweex.com and look under the heading service & support.
In order to fully enjoy the Sweex MP3 player for many years, it is important you observe a number of things:
• Do not put the MP3 player in direct sunlight or in the direct vicinity of radiators. Avoid ambient temperatures exceeding 39°C. Remember that
the temperature in a locked car exposed to the sun can easily reach 50°C or more.
• Do not use the MP3 player in extremely dusty or moist surroundings.
• Protect the device against powerful shocks or jolts - they may damage the internal electronics.
• Never attempt to open the device yourself - it will cause the warranty to lapse.

Prior to using the MP3 player, check if all required parts are present. The following parts must be present in the box:

• Headset
• USB cable
• Battery
• CD-ROM with (operating) programmes and comprehensive manual
If one of the above parts is missing, please contact the supplier.

  • Page 3 Fitting the battery The Sweex MP3 player uses a 1.5 volt AAA battery. Follow these instructions to fit the battery: remove the USB cover and slide the battery cover on the back of the MP3 player downwards. Fit the battery and slide the battery cover back in its slot. Replace the USB cover.

    Switching the MP3 player on and off Press the Play/Pause button for 2 seconds in order to switch on the Sweex MP3 player. The text HELLO will appear in the display. After 2 seconds, the main menu appears detailing information on, among other things, the number of tracks, the equalizer setting, the battery status and the playtime of the selected track.

    B button once more to cancel the repeated playing of the selected fragment. It is also possible to record speech with the Sweex MP3 player. The Sweex MP3 player features a built-in microphone to record sound. Follow this procedure to start a sound recording. Ensure that no MP3 or WMA file is played back. Now press the A-B button for 2 seconds and then release it.
