    4. Read the handset display. The unit should display the appropriate talk group, beam, and signal strength greater than 50. 5. Disconnect the hand set and connect it directly to the SATRAD-G2 transceiver. Check for proper communications. Failure at this connection may mean the SATRAD-G2 needs repair.
