SXL-1000-90/2 207171 The image below shows the main components of an SXL-1000-90/1 or -90/2 system, with the XenData SX-10 Archive Appliance at the top and an SL150 library with two expansion units below. The SX-10 connects to the SL150 library via one or two SAS cables (supplied). The system connects to an Ethernet network via 1 GigE.
The SXL-1000 systems are pre-configured as follows. The Windows 7 operating system and XenData software are licensed and activated on the SX-10. In addition, the device drivers for the SL150 are loaded on the SX-10. The SL150 is configured with one reserve slot that is intended for a cleaning cartridge.

When a near-line file is accessed over the network, the XenData software automatically transfers the file from LTO to disk cache. As soon as the file transfer to disk cache commences, the file transfer over the network also starts.
The Alert Module Administrator Guide is supplied on the SX-10 CD with the system and is also available from the XenData web site (www.xendata.com). Note: if you would like assistance to configure the SX-10, please contact XenData support. Contact details are provided in section 7 below.
The imported cartridges(s) will be automatically recognized by the XenData software. 5.2 Exporting LTO Cartridges from the Library Use the XenData Management Console and select the cartridge to be exported in the left pane of the console. Right click on the cartridge and select ‘Export’.
