Data Usage Settings Operations
Enable Mobile Data: Tap the ON/OFF switch next to Mobile data.
Set Amount for Alert When Data Usage Increases: Tap the ON/OFF switch next to Alert me
about data usage, and then drag the horizontal warning slider up and down to set an amount.
Data usage amounts are approximate. Actual amounts may differ.
This setting is available when Mobile data is enabled.
Enable Restrictions on Mobile Data Usage: Tap the ON/OFF switch next to Limit mobile data
usage, and then drag the horizontal limit slider up or down to set the data usage limit.
This setting is available when Mobile data is enabled.
Set Dates for Resetting Data Usage: Tap the date range to set the data usage measuring cycle.
This setting is available when Mobile data is enabled.
Check Data Usage for Each Application: Tap an app name to see its usage for the period.
Enable Restriction on Mobile Data in Background: Tap MORE > Restrict background data >
OK.
The availability of roaming services is dependent on your service plan. Check with your
carrier and service plan for details.
This setting stops some apps and services from working unless your phone is connected to a
Wi-Fi network.
This setting is available when Limit mobile data usage is on.
View Both Mobile Data and Wi-Fi Usage: Tap MORE > Show Wi-Fi usage.
When Show Wi-Fi usage is enabled, you will see a Wi-Fi tab at the top of the Data usage
window. Tap the tab to view your phone's Wi-Fi data usage.
Restrict networks: Restrict background apps from using selected Mobile Hotspots. You can also
set apps to warn you before using these networks for large downloads.
