    Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the Hobby Jack heat press. The Hobby Jack heat press is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system. The temperature control of your Hobby Jack heat press should always be 0 (zero) before plugging or unplugging from the outlet.

    Using your press (continued) CONNECTING YOUR HOBBY JACK HEAT PRESS Connecting your press to the power outlet is a simple task that requires only that you use the supplied power cord and lead. Using a lead other than the one supplied will invalidate your warranty and could lead to personal injury.

    Using your press (continued) When using your Hobby Jack heat press for the first time, you may notice a slight emission of smoke and/ or a slight smell of burning, this is completely normal and will stop after a short period.

    Using your press (continued) The green light on the front of your Hobby Jack heat press will illuminate to indicate that the press is switched on (see diagram below). The red light, also on the front of your Hobby Jack heat press, will also illuminate to indicate that the temperature is climbing (see diagram below).

    CLEANING Please note: Before cleaning your Hobby Jack heat press in any way make sure that the outlet plug is not connected to the socket and that the heat plate has completely cooled. Any deposits left on the heat plate can be removed using a damp cloth or a non-abrasive liquid detergent.
