SUPPLEMENTAL AIRPLANE FLIGHT MANUAL
This document serves as a Airplane Flight Manual Supplement or as a Supplemental
Airplane Flight Manual when the aircraft is equipped with the i-linc MFD. This document
must be carried in the airplane at all times when the i-linc MFD is installed in accordance
with Supplemental Type Certificate No. SA02154AK. The information contained in this
document supplements or supersedes the information made available to the operator by the
manufacturer in the form of clearly stated placards, markings, or manuals as required by
CAR 3.777(b) or in the form of an FAA approved Airplane Flight Manual, only in those
areas listed herein. For limitations, procedures, and performance information not contained
in this document, consult the basic placards, markings, or manuals or the basic FAA

    Figure 1 i-linc MFD The i-linc MFD can provide display and control for the Goodrich SKYWATCH® and SKYWATCH HP systems. Traffic will appear on the traffic page, thumbnail and can be overlaid on the custom moving map.
  • Page 4: Limitations

    The i-linc MFD has a built in pre-heat mode (30 seconds to 60 seconds) on each startup below 30C. During the pre-heat mode, the display will remain dark. The pre-heat mode is designed to extend the life of the LCD backlight.

    (POST) OWER ON The i-linc MFD performs a self test when power is applied. The pilot is responsible for verifying all tests pass. If any of the i-linc MFD tests fail, power off the i-linc MFD. LACARD Aircraft will have a placard identifying the MFD circuit breaker.

    Line Select Keys The line select keys are on the right hand side of the i-linc MFD. These keys are activated by the Menu/Enter Key. The keys control the various options available to the user.

    DVISORY NDICATIONS These are displayed on the upper left hand side of the i-linc MFD. a) Lightning Advisory The lightning advisory flag will show on the left side of the display when the WX500 sends an indication that lightning has been detected near your location.

    WX-500 will appear on the i-linc MFD. For detailed operating instructions regarding the interface of the i-linc MFD with the WX-500, refer to the WX-500 User’s Guide and the i-linc MFD Pilot’s Guide for the WX-500 Stormscope interface.

    The i-linc MFD will present all data as returned from the radar sensor data bus. Caution should be exercised when interpreting a weather radar display.
