to follow the warnings and instructions may result in
electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
AREA LIGHT HYBRID SAFETY WARNINGS
Know your product. Read operator's manual
carefully. Learn its applications and limitations,
as well as the specific potential hazards related to
this product. Following this rule will reduce the risk of
electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
Do not permit children to use work light. It is not
a toy.
This lamp is not designed to operate in wet or damp
conditions. Exercise extreme caution when using this
lamp outdoors, particularly when connected to the
mains power.
Carefully position the extension cord during use.
An extension cord in your walking path can be a tripping
hazard.
If wrapped or in contact with fabrics, the work
light lens can produce sufficient heat to melt some
fabrics. To avoid serious personal injury, never allow
the work light lens to come in contact with anything.
Do not place hands or fingers between adjustable
head and frame when positioning work light to
avoid possible pinching.
Battery tools do not have to be plugged into an
electrical outlet; therefore, they are always in
operating condition. Be aware of possible hazards
when not using your battery tool or when changing
accessories. Following this rule will reduce the risk of
electric shock, fire, or serious personal injury.
Do not place the product or their batteries near
fire or heat. This will reduce the risk of explosion and
possibly injury.
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not
use this product with any solid-state speed control
device.
To reduce the risk of personal injury and electric
shock, the product should not be played with or
placed where small children can reach it.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not expose
to water or rain.
Save these instructions. Refer to them frequently and
use them to instruct others who may use this tool. If you
loan someone this tool, loan them these instructions
also to prevent misuse of the product and possible
injury.
The luminaire should be positioned so that
prolonged staring into the luminaire at a distance
closer than 0.9m is not expected.
Do not direct the light beam at persons or animals
and do not stare into the light beam yourself (not
even from a distance). Staring into the light beam may

result in serious injury or vision loss.
Use only with recommended battery pack and
charger. Any attempt to use another battery pack
will cause damage to the product and could possibly
explode, cause a fire, or personal injury.
Do not disassemble the product.
Do not store the product in a damp or wet location,
or in a location where the temperature may reach
or exceed 40°C (104°F). For example, inside sheds,
vehicles, or metal buildings in the summer.
This product is non-dimmable; do not connect with
any dimmers.
Always power this lamp from a standard domestic
supply. Power from Generators or inverters may cause
your lamp to malfunction.
Check damaged parts. Before further use of the
product, a part that is damaged should be carefully
checked to determine that it will operate properly and
perform its intended function. Do not use the product if
it does not function properly.
Have the product repaired by a qualified person.
The product is in accordance with the relevant safety
requirements. Repairs should only be carried out by
qualified person using original spare parts, otherwise
this may result in considerable danger to the user.

BATTERY SAFETY WARNINGS

Risk of electric shock. Do not touch uninsulated portion
of output connector or uninsulated battery terminal.
Do not crush, drop or damage battery pack. Do
not use a battery pack or charger that has been
dropped or received a sharp blow. A damaged
battery is subject to explosion. Properly dispose of a
dropped or damaged battery immediately.
Do not charge product battery in a damp or wet
location. Following this rule will reduce the risk of
electric shock.
For best results, your battery should be charged
in a location where the temperature is more than
10°C but less than 38°C. Do not store outside or in
vehicles.
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected
from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally
occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes,
additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the
battery may cause irritation or burns.
Do not incinerate the battery even if it is severely
damaged. The batteries can explode in a fire.

MAINTENANCE

When servicing, use only original Ryobi replacement
parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or
cause product damage.
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types
of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their
use. Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease,
