    SAFETY TIPS Regular checks before use Please check the following before each use: Quick release axles on the rear wheels • Tyres and brakes. Brakes will not function properly if the tyres are worn • or damaged, or if the gap between the tyre and brake is too big. The maximum user weight is 120kg.
  • Page 4 Handling Opening and Folding Opening Rest both hands on each of the seat upholstery support rails and press down until the seat and back upholsteries become tight. (see photo 1) Make sure that the seat support rails are safely located in the sup- port cups.

  • Page 6 Brakes Parking Brake The brakes are preset and adjustment should only be necessary if the brakes be- come loose or no longer function correctly. To apply the parking brake push the brake lever towards the front of the wheelchair. Push the lever back to release the brakes. See photos below. These levers are to be used by hand only.
  • Page 7 Warranty Z-Tec wheelchairs are guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase, this warranty is not transferable. Should any part of the wheelchair require repair or full replacement as a result of a manufacturing or material defect within the warranty period, parts will be sup- plied free of charge.
