At Breville we are very safety conscious. We design and manufacture consumer products with
the safety of you, our valued customer, foremost in mind. In addition we ask that you exercise
a degree of care when using any electrical appliance and adhere to the following precautions.

Carefully read all instructions before
operation and save for future reference.
Remove any packaging material and
promotional stickers before using the
toaster and/or kettle for the first time.
This appliance has been designed
specifically for the purpose of toasting
bread products and/or boiling drinking
quality water only.
Do not place the appliance near the edge
of a bench or table during operation.
Ensure the surface is level, clean and
free of water.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge
of a bench top, counter or table, touch
hot surfaces or become knotted. Fully
unwind the cord before use.
Keep appliance clear of walls and other
heat sensitive materials. Minimum
200mm distance.
Never cover the appliance whilst it
is plugged into the power outlet or
while hot.
Do not place on or near a hot gas burner,
electric element or in or near a heated
oven.
To protect against electric shock, do not
immerse the power supply cord, plug or
any part of the appliance in water or any
other form of liquid.
Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the
handle for lifting and carrying the
kettle and use side areas for lifting
and carrying the appliance. Ensure the
toaster is cool before handling.

Always turn the power off at the power
outlet and then remove the plug from
the power outlet before attempting to
move the appliance, when the appliance
is not in use and before cleaning or
storing.
Keep the appliance clean. Refer to Care
and Cleaning (page 14).
Bread may burn, therefore the toaster
must not be used near or below curtains
or other combustible material and it
must be supervised at all times when
in use.
The appliance should not be left
unattended during toasting.
Ensure that bread to be toasted is the
correct size for the toaster and does not
protrude above the bread slice opening
and is not too thick or long that it will
jam or wedge the bread carriage.
Do not operate the toaster on its side.
Never add any food substance to the
bread, english muffins or crumpets as
this can lead to electrocution or fire.
This toaster is for toasting bread, english
crumpets and muffins only. Placing
other items in the toaster can lead to
electrocution or fire.
Do not place cold toast on top of
toasting slots to warm toast as this
may prevent correct air circulation and
damage the appliance.
Do not remove the kettle from the power
base during operation. Ensure the kettle
is switched to the 'OFF' position, after
the water has boiled, before removing
the kettle from the power base.
The kettle lid should always be firmly in
place and locked in the closed position
before and during use.

Under no circumstances should this
product be used to boil any other liquids
or foodstuffs.
Always ensure the kettle switch is in
the 'OFF' position, then turn the power
off at the power outlet and remove
the plug from the power outlet before
attempting to move the appliance, when
the appliance is not in use and before
cleaning and storing.
Do not remove the kettle from the power
base during operation. Ensure the kettle
is switched to the 'OFF' position, after
water has boiled, before removing the
kettle from the power base.
Do not move the kettle while it is
switched on.
Do not open the lid during operation.
The temperature of accessible surfaces
may be high when the appliance is
operating.
The instructions shall state that
appliances are not intended to be
operated by means of an external timer
or separate remote-control system.
This appliance can be used by children
aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with
the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by
children unless they are older than
8 and supervised.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of
reach of children less than 8 years.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARdS FOR
ALL ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES
Fully unwind the cord before use.
To protect against electric shock, do not
immerse the cord, plug or appliance in
water or any other liquid.
Do not allow the cord to hang over the
edge a table or bench, touch hot surfaces
or become knotted.
Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the
handle for lifting and carrying the kettle.
This appliance is not intended for use
by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
Close supervision is required at all times
when operating the appliance near
children. Do not leave the appliance
where children can touch hot surfaces.
Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
It is recommended to regularly inspect
the appliance. Do not use the appliance
if the power supply cord, plug or
appliance becomes damaged in any
way. Return the entire appliance to the
nearest authorised Breville Service
Centre for examination and/or repair.
Keep the appliance clean. Refer to
Care and Cleaning (page 14).
Any maintenance other than cleaning
should be performed at an authorised
Breville Service Centre.
This appliance is for household use only.
Do not use in moving vehicles or boats.
Do not use outdoors. Do not use this
appliance for anything other than its
intended use. Misuse may cause injury.
