    • Do not use irregularly shaped CDs (e.g., heart- shaped or octagonal) since they may result in malfunctions. • This DVD player requires discs and recordings to meet certain technical standards in order to achieve optimal playback quality. Pre-recorded DVDs are automatically set to these standards.

    HDMI connection If you have a HDMI TV or monitor, you can connect it to this unit using a HDMI cable. 1. Connect the HDMI OUTPUT jack on the unit to the HDMI INPUT jack on a HDMI compatible TV or monitor (H).

    Displaying Disc Information On-Screen You can display various information about the disc loaded on-screen. 1. Press DISPLAY to show various playback information. The displayed items differ depending on the disc type or playing status. 2. You can select an item by pressing v / V and change or select the setting by pressing b / B.

    LANGUAGE Menu Language Select a language for the Setup menu and on-screen display. Disc Audio / Subtitle / Menu Select the language you prefer for the audio track (disc audio), subtitles, and the disc menu. Original – Refers to the original language in which the disc was recorded.

    LOCK (Parental Control) Rating Blocks playback of rated DVDs based on their contents. Not all discs are rated. 1. Select “Rating” on the LOCK menu then press B. 2. To access the LOCK options, you must input the password you have created. If you have not yet entered password, you are prompted to do so.

Press PAUSE/STEP (X) repeatedly to play Frame-by- Frame. SKIP (. / >) During playback, press SKIP (. or >) to go to the next chapter/track or to return to the beginning of the current chapter/track.

    Notes on general features: • If you press SKIP (>) once during Repeat Chapter (Track) playback, the repeat playback cancels. • Zoom may not work on some DVDs. • When you are playing a DVD disc that contains scenes recorded at different camera angles, the angle indicator will blink on the TV screen during the operations as an indication that angle switching is possible.

    Playing an Audio CD or MP3/WMA file This unit can play Audio CDs or MP3/WMA files. MP3/ WMA/ Audio CD Once you insert an MP3/WMA files recorded media or Audio CD, a menu appears on the TV screen. Use v / V to select a track/file and then press PLAY (N) or ENTER and playback starts.

    Playing a DVD VR Format Disc This unit will play DVD-RW disc that is recorded using the Video Recording (VR) format. 1. Insert a disc and close the tray. The DVD-VR menu appears on the screen. 2. Press v / V to select a track then press PLAY or ENTER and playback starts.
