The IVO FR is an integrated solution of MP3 player, USB memory storage, FM radio and digital audio
recorder. It supports playback of MP3, WMA, ASF and WAV format audio files. Different EQ settings,
radio and recorder functions can all be easily accessed through a menu tree. Custom settings like
display contrast, auto-power off time can also be configured.
The IVO FR is designed as an easy to use USB memory device when connected to PC. Direct
connection to computer with no cable required. No driver installation is necessary for Windows ME,
2000, XP, MacOS 9.0 or later version. For Windows 98, one-time installation driver will be provided.
True plug and play, when connecting the IVO FR to a computer, a removable hard disk will be detected
and the user can save any types of programs or data onto the IVO FR. You can save your mp3 songs
to different folders for easy sorting. You can then browse the folder tree in the player to select a
folder to play.
The IVO FR can also be used as a digital voice recorder. You can record voice in a meeting or in a
lesson and the voice data is saved in the internal memory. The voice recording can be saved in the
WAV or ACT format, and it can also be transferred between the IVO FR and your computer for backup.

    MP3 Mode Enter MP3 Mode When the unit is powered ON, it will go directly to MP3 mode. You can also enter the MP3 mode from another mode by holding the Mode key. Then select the MP3 function icon and press the Mode key to go to MP3 mode.

    Voice Recording Mode Enter Voice Recording Mode Go to the Main Menu by holding the Mode key, select the voice record icon and press the Mode key. Play Key In voice recording mode, pressing the Play key once will start voice recording. While voice is recording, pressing the Play key will pause recording.
  • Page 7 Go to the Main Menu by holding the Mode key, select the Voice Playback icon and press the Mode key. Operation in voice playback mode is similar to MP3 mode. Note: A maximum of 99 files can be recorded in one folder. When the MP3 memory used up, the screen will show “Over record”.

    FM Radio Mode Note: Please note that this function is available only for the MP3 players with built in FM radio module. Enter FM Mode Go to the Main Menu by holding the Mode key, select the FM icon and press the Mode key. Play Key Holding the Play key, will power the unit off.

    System Settings Mode Enter System Settings mode Go to the Main Menu by holding the Mode key, select the SYS icon and press the Mode key. There are 7 functions for user settings. Use the Next and Previous keys to select the function icons and press the Mode key to access the function.

    It is not recommend to set both the Off time and Sleep time to “0” because the user may forget to switch off the mp3 and therefore use up all the battery power. It is recommended to set the Off time to, for example, 30 seconds so that unit can be self-power off when not in use.
  • Page 12 Key Lock and Write Protection There is a slide switch to lock and unlock the key operation. When it is locked, all key presses will cause the following screen to be displayed. When the mp3 player is connected to computer for the USB disk function, the lock switch can be used as a write protect function.

    USB Disk Function The USB device can be used as a removable hard disk simply by connecting it to your PC USB port. No driver installation is required ( except for Windows 98 ). All Windows functions, such as cut and paste, can be used to transfer MP3 songs, data files, or programs between the USB disk and your PC.
